PHOTO OF THE WEEK:
 Pat
As many of you know, one of our long time employees, Pat Steichen, recently passed away after a long illness. She was the administrative assistant and the first friendly face students and parents saw at the front desk as they entered LILA. She was instrumental to the success of LILA from our start in 2004 until her retirement a few years ago, and before that she taught some of our now LILA parents. She will be missed deeply. There will be a visitation and service at Roberts Family Funeral Home this Saturday. http://www.robertsfamilyfh.com/obituary/198950/Patricia-Steichen/#services

FROM THE PTO:
FUN RUN FINAL WEEK! Register your students today and enter their pledges before it is too late! Students learn about fitness, character, and team building while raising money to improve the playground (Lower School) and a student-voted wish list (Upper School). Check out the PTO page on facebook for more updates. For more information about the fundraiser and other events this year, please join us for the PTO meeting today, Tuesday, September 19 at 6:30pm!

NEW NEWS:

  • Afternoon Traffic: If you were in the Lower School Curbside pickup line on Monday afternoon, you may have noticed more traffic than usual. We're noticing it too! We'd like to remind parents of eligible kids to consider Forest Lake bussing, and remind all parents that if you need to pick up a child early from school, please park across the street to avoid the long lines of cars.
  • Concert Dates: The 2017-2018 Music Performance Dates have been published for both Lower and Upper School. If you like to plan ahead, check it out here and save the dates now.
  • Soccer Fans! This is your last chance to gather a group and get $24 tickets for the Saturday United game! Proceeds benefit Upper School athletics, but the game will be enjoyed by students and staff alike! Check out the flyer for more info and purchase through feepay
  • Chair Project Update: Profe Kristina's spark class has enough chairs (thanks!) but are still looking for a variety of colors of latex paint (any amount), coarse grit sandpaper, and 1-2" paint brushes. Donations can be left at the LS front office. Thanks!
