LILA encourages learning beyond the classroom. Complementing our academic curriculum are an array of opportunities for students to explore sports, the arts, clubs, language camps and more. We strive to offer low participation fees and a variety of enrichment options, ensuring those who want to get involved are able to do so and find something that matches their interests.
LILA offers two summer language immersion day camp options - Camp del Sol (Spanish) and Camp Taiyang (Mandarin Chinese). Camps are held at Lower School and are open to students entering kindergarten through fifth grade. These partial day programs are held on consecutive days. They provide a wonderful opportunity for new students to ease into language immersion or current LILA students to brush up on their target language skills before returning to class.
Generally, all activities are conducted in Spanish or Chinese at an age-appropriate level. Incoming kindergarteners have a daily language arts component as well as games, songs, crafts, and storytelling. Campers also participate in some form of physical education each day. Returning students follow fun themes for each day.
No bus service is available, so families must arrange for transportation. We also ask that students eat a healthy breakfast before camp each day!

**Reduced rates are for immersion camp available for families that qualify for free and reduced lunch. Free lunch pricing is $10, and reduced lunch pricing is $80. Cancellation Refund Policy:
A full refund will be issued through June 9th. After that, a 50% refund will be issued up to the start of camp. Once camp is in session, no refund will be issued. *All refunds will be subject to a 4% service fee.
