LILA partners with the Forest Lake Area Schools Nutrition Services Department for daily breakfast and lunch service at Lower and Upper School. The department follows USDA guidelines for school meals. These standards ensure meals are healthy, well balanced, and provide adequate nutrition students need to succeed at school. Ala carte food items and beverages sold to students outside of the breakfast and lunch program follow USDA Smart Snacks guidelines. Smart Snacks guidelines have reduced calories, sodium, fat and sugars to ensure students are only offered tasty and nutritious foods during the school day.
